Sports Vision at EyeWorks

Every decision you make on the field begins with the eyes...

Fastball or curveball? Do you charge the ball or play back? Is that receiver open? Will the putt break right or left? Am I seeing the field and the ball as well as I can? Your eyes give you the answers to these questions multiple times a game, but do your eyes always give you the right answer for the best decision?

But you've done it all: expensive equipment, the best coaching and hours of practice. You're one of the best on the team, but you know you could be better. You need something to give you that extra competitive edge.

We just might have the answer for you if you're serious about making the best of your talents and abilities. The best athletes differ from the average athletes because they see the playing field better. They have heightened awareness and anticipation. Did you know these skills could be trained?

An athlete needs more than talent, strength and passion to compete. Whether it's shooting a 3-pointer, picking up the spin of a curveball, sinking that long putt, or lining up a target at the range, good vision plays an important role in your performance. But 20/20 vision is only one important factor involved in attaining maximum visual performance. Coordination, balance, accuracy and concentration are just a few of the vision-related abilities used in all sports.

Vision involves subtle and sophisticated links between your eyes, brain, and muscles. The stamina, flexibility and fine-tuning of your visual system can often provide you with the split-second timing you need to truly excel.

Gain a Competitive Advantage with Sports Vision Training

At the EyeWorks Sports Vision Center of New England, we perform evaluations involving task-related tests to determine visual strengths and deficiencies influencing athletic performance. More than a standard eye examination, our Sports Vision Evaluation provides a computerized performance profile of the visual skills used to excel in athletics.

If a weakness is found in any of these skills, the athlete may be under-performing. A Sports Vision Enhancement or Training Program can be developed to improve theses skills and could help the athlete take his or her game to the next level.
