“When I began practicing, I made it my goal to truly connect with my patients. I am continuously striving to understand who they are and what they do. It allows me to truly empathize with them and help improve their quality of life, which is what eye care is really about. “
“I believe education is a life-long endeavor when it comes to practicing optometry. I owe it to my patients to continue to be abreast of current research, technology, and shifts in practice standards”

Dr. Vincent McMahon of EyeWorks grew up in Wilmington, Delaware and loved to play baseball as a youth. He pitched in the American Legion World Series in 1967. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology/Pre-Med from the Universtiy of Delaware in 1972. He graduated from the New England College of Optometry, graduating third in his class. He is now a Diplomat of the American Board of Optometry, and an assistant clinical professor at both the Illinois and New England Colleges of Optometry. He developed an interest in optometry at a very young age, fascinated by vision and its influence on all activities and loving the prospect of helping patients by having his own practice. In his drive to stay on top of his profession, Dr McMahon recently became one of a select group of Optometrists to be Board Certified.
His first position was in a large group practice in Worcester, MA at the office of G. Burtt Holmes, then president of the American Optometric Association. He participated in numerous contact lens studies when soft lenses were first being developed.
He purchased a very small practice in 1979 in Keene, NH with a staff of one. In his spare time, Dr. McMahon loves walking, exercising at the new YMCA and enjoys editing video and all forms of technology. He is an accomplished chef, much to the delight of his family. He is very happily married to Dr. Georgia McMahon and is very proud of his two grown children, Lindsay and Ben.
